ENPOINTE, formerly known as GLS Companies, celebrates over four decades in business. We opened our doors as a humble, privately owned printing company. Since those early days, we have evolved by enhancing our capabilities. Below is our most notable efforts over the last 40 years:
1984
- Incorporated as General Litho Services, Inc.
- Sales for first year: $748,000
1986
- Purchased 1st 5-color Heidelberg press
1990
- Purchased mailing equipment and started inserting for customers
1993
- Purchased data processing equipment and brought service in-house, offering full mailing service capabilities
1995
- Added fulfillment/distribution capabilities to the business mix
1996
- Consolidated operations from three facilities into one 63,000 sq. ft. facility in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
1997
- Added creative services to the business mix
- Combined capabilities into GLS Integrated Communication Solutions
1999
- Built 55,000 sq. ft. addition, connected by skyway, for a facility total of 120,000 sq. ft.
2000
- Purchased Heartland Graphics and consolidated operations to the GLS campus in Brooklyn Park
- Achieved ISO 9002:1994 certification
2003
- Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification
- Purchased Digital Works Plus to enter color variable markets
2004
- Added 43,000 sq. ft. to our Brooklyn Park operation to accommodate growth in the direct mail and fulfillment businesses
2006
- Purchased Litho, Inc. adding web printing and perfect binding capabilities to the GLS product mix
2007
- Achieved FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification
- Added UV printing capabilities
